Björk's studio albums, 1993–2022
Björk Guðmundsdóttir was born in Reykjavík in 1965. She sang in the punk bands Tappi Tíkarrass and Kukl and then in the Sugarcubes, before she moved to London to work on her own.
Debut, made with the producer Nellee Hooper, drew on the house and club music of London. Homogenic set strings against beats, Vespertine turned quiet and close with harps and music boxes, and Medúlla is made almost entirely of voices. Biophilia came out with a set of apps, and she made Vulnicura, about the end of a relationship, and Utopia with Arca. Fossora followed in 2022.
The list has 10 records from 1993 to 2022. Left out are the album she made as a child in 1977, Gling-Gló with a jazz trio, the soundtracks Selma Songs and Drawing Restraint 9, Vulnicura Strings, the live and remix albums, and the Sugarcubes' records. About 9 hours of music, 1 days of a few records each.
