Kate Bush's studio albums, 1978–2011
Kate Bush is a singer, songwriter and pianist from Bexleyheath, in south-east London. EMI signed her after David Gilmour of Pink Floyd helped her record her first demos, and she has produced her own albums since The Dreaming.
The Kick Inside came out when she was nineteen, and its single Wuthering Heights went to number one in Britain. Hounds of Love was made mostly in a studio she built at her home; its second side is a suite of songs, The Ninth Wave. Twelve years passed between The Red Shoes and Aerial, a double album, and 50 Words for Snow is a set of songs about winter.
The list has 9 records from 1978 to 2011. Left out are Director's Cut, new recordings of songs from The Sensual World and The Red Shoes, the live albums Live at Hammersmith Odeon and Before the Dawn, and compilations such as The Whole Story and The Other Sides. About 8 hours of music, 1 days of a few records each.
