Honduras's popular music has the Garifuna traditions of the north coast, the paranda and the punta, in the drums and voices of Lita Ariran, in Paula Castillo and in Aurelio Martínez's Garifuna Soul and Laru Beya, the punta bands of the coast and San Pedro Sula in Banda Blanca, Kazzabe and Los Gatos Bravos, the marimba of San Pedro Sula in the Marimba Usula, Guillermo Anderson's songs of La Ceiba and Moisés Canelo's nostalgias, the sixties beat of Los Robbins, the rock of Diablos Negros and Café Guancasco from Tegucigalpa, Polache's pop, and the reggaeton of Aziatic in Los Angeles and El Chevo. The list has 25 records from 1970 to 2022, one or two by each name and only a small part of what they made; the song of the Mosquitia, the church music, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Honduras and most of the classical tradition, and the many records that never reached streaming, the album that carried Sopa de caracol among them, are left for other lists. About 19 hours of music, 3 days of a few records each.
