Lithuania's popular music has a festival at its centre, the Dainų šventė in Vingis Park, and a singing of its own, the sutartinės, and around them: Vytautas Kernagis with his guitar in the seventies, the rock of Antis, Foje, Bix and Hiperbolė, the Ganelin Trio's free jazz from Vilnius, Andrius Mamontovas, Sel and Skamp in the nineties, the folk revival of Atalyja, Kūlgrinda and Žalvarinis, Jurga, Alina Orlova and G&G Sindikatas in the 2000s, the electronic pop of Happyendless, Leon Somov & Jazzu and Golden Parazyth, the indie of Garbanotas, Solo Ansamblis and ba., Čiurlionis played by Mūza Rubackytė, and The Roop, Monika Liu and Silvester Belt, who took Vilnius to Eurovision. The list has 50 records from 1977 to 2026, one or two by each of the names above and only a small part of what they made; Foje is here as a collection because its albums are not on Deezer, and most of the classical tradition, the choirs of the song festival, the village ensembles and the diaspora would each need a list of their own. About 44 hours of music, 5 days of a few records each.
