Vietnam's popular music has at its start, for this list, the ca trù of Quách Thị Hồ and the quan họ singers of Bắc Ninh and Phạm Duy's folk songs, then the Saigon tapes before 1975, Thái Thanh, Khánh Ly singing Trịnh Công Sơn and Lệ Thu, the bolero of Chế Linh, Thanh Tuyền and Tuấn Vũ, the divas of Hanoi, Thanh Lam, Hồng Nhung, Mỹ Linh, Trần Thu Hà and Tùng Dương, the pop of Lam Trường and Mỹ Tâm, the rock of Bức Tường, the indie of Lê Cát Trọng Lý and Ngọt, the hip hop of Suboi and Đen, Sơn Tùng M-TP and Hoàng Thùy Linh today, and Đặng Thái Sơn's Chopin. The list has 53 records from 1968 to 2026, one or two by each of the names above and only a small part of what they made, the singers who went on recording abroad after 1975 counted as Vietnam's; Hòa Minzy, Thái Vũ and Rhymastic have no album on Deezer and Hải Bột is here with his band Quái Vật Tí Hon, and the court music of Huế, cải lương beyond a nod, the song of the highlands and most of the classical tradition would each need a list of their own. About 44 hours of music, 5 days of a few records each.
